Now’s the perfect time to… learn a new language, explore the natural world, paint a landscape, make jewelry, research your family tree, get your body moving. Those are just a few of the nearly 200 exciting classes offered by NACE each year. Browse our catalog and try something new! Anyone from the Greater Newburyport community is welcome to participate as a student or to become a teacher! Most classes are also available to teens 15 years and over.

NACE offers over 200 classes each year including arts and crafts, dancing, cooking, financial planning, languages, writing, music, home and garden activities, outdoor skills and adventures, health, mind and body strengthening-- and more! Classes are for all ages and most are available to teens 15 years and older.

Introduction to Wildlife Tracks and Sign: A two-session course with Bob Metcalfe, owner of N.E. Discovery. (Feb 5 at Nock Middle School, Feb 8 a guided field trip)

Decluttering Your Digital Photos: Carol LeBlanc, Photo Coach & Organizer, will teach you how to declutter, backup, and clean out your digital photo library, NOTE: iPhone only. (Central Congregational Church, NBPT)

Floral Arranging Workshop: A fun evening of floral arranging with Pat Cannon (Central Congregational Church, NBPT)

Personal Cybersecurity 101: Mike Spiro, Founder/CEO of All Set Cybersecurity, will introduce you to free and easy steps you can take to protect your online identity and accounts (Nock Middle School)

Jam Making: The Basics: -- Join Laura Imhoff in this two-week course exploring the timeless art of canning. (Week One at Nock Middle School, Week Two at NBPT HS)

Stars in Your Eyes: Developing a Psychic Sense with Janet Catherine Johnston. (Central Congregational Church, NBPT)

Astrophysical Discoveries: Presented in layman’s terms by MIT-trained scientist Janet Johnston. Registration Required (Nock Middle School)

Fungi: An Introduction to the Fifth Kingdom: Jana Harris covers the history of fungi on Earth and 5 plus 5 local mushroom groups to know (edible and non edible ones) NOTE: Via Zoom

Everything Enchiladas with Chef Rosa Garza: Learn hands-on how to cook authentic Mexican food from scratch just like the locals do. The best part is that you get to take home leftovers to share! (Kitchen Local, 14 Cedar St., Amesbury. #105)

Pysanky: Ukrainian Egg Decorating: Led by Eliza Goodell, the class will begin with a demonstration and participants will leave having made 1-2 eggs. (Amesbury Friends Meeting House)
